Board of Directors Positions
BPSF is led by an executive board of dedicated volunteers that help our nonprofit be the best it can be. The executive board meets monthly (either virtually or in-person based on board preference), gathers annually for a retreat, and assist with in-person events (especially fundraising events). All other work is done independently, on your own schedule.
In order to be considered for a position, you must:
- Download and complete the Director Positions application
- Download and complete a Conflict of Interest policy form
- Download and complete a Photo and Video Release form
- Download and complete a BPSF Confidentiality Agreement form
- Submit a current resume or curriculum vitae
- Submit a cover letter that addresses your interest, qualifications, and experiences that equip you for the position based on the position description
- Applicants will be invited to a board meeting in order to meet the other members to discuss the position further

BPSF Nonprofit Volunteer Placement/Internship Positions
Join our Board of Directors for a nonprofit learning experience while making a difference in the lives of LGBTQIA+ emerging adults living in the Greater San Marcos area!
Volunteer placements/internships can be used to fulfill course credit (terms of the course will be reviewed during the application process to ensure we can meet the requirements) or for volunteer hours. We are seeking volunteers/interns with skills/talents in engaging in Community Outreach, Data Analysis or Database Maintenance, Social Marketing/Media, Event Coordination, Grant Writing/Research, and/or Fundraising.
In order to be considered for a position, you must:
- Download and complete the Volunteer Placement/Internship Application
- Download and
complete a Conflict of Interest policy form
- Download and complete a Photo and Video Release form
- Download and complete a BPSF Confidentiality Agreement form
- Submit a current resume or curriculum vitae
- Submit a cover letter that addresses your interest, qualifications, and experiences that equip you for the position based on the position description
- Submit a copy of the institution's class assignment/requirements for course completion (if applicable)
- Applicants will be invited to a board meeting to discuss the placement details and determine if an offer can be extended
